Biography
Rokhan Sarwar is a Canadian business leader based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Born in Kabul, Afghanistan, he moved to Canada in 2001 after earning a sponsorship from the World University Services of Canada to continue his post-secondary education. He attended the University of Saskatchewan, where he earned a bachelor’s degrees in economics and business economics, followed by an MBA from the Edwards School of Business.
In addition to his over 15 years of experience in the private sector, Rokhan has dedicated himself to community service, having served as Vice President and later President of the Board of Directors for the Saskatoon Open Door Society, an organization that assists new immigrants in settling in Canada.
In the political arena, Sarwar was the Liberal Party candidate for the Saskatoon—Grasswood riding in the 2021 federal election. Although he did not win the seat, he remained active with the Liberal Party of Canada in Saskatchewan.
Sarwar is also known for his involvement in fundraising and contributions to local organizations, including the Boys and Girls Club of Saskatoon.
